Lester Payne

  Lester Payne, 68, of Many, died in Many on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at
5 p.m., following a short illness.

  Survivors include his wife, Nellie K. Payne of Many; one sister,
Mrs. P. W. Cole of Gibsland, and a host of nieces and nephews.

  A rosary was said Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m.

  Funeral services were held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, at St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many. Father Gustave Bergeron
officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Marion Koss, George Koss, John W. Koss, Michael
Springer, Gary McConathy, and Bruce Hanna.
