The Sabine Index - Lewis A. Pynes

  20 Jan 1950 - Last rites for Lewis A. Pynes, 78, who passed
away at his home in Florien Tuesday, were conducted at Florien
Baptist church 3 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. L. B. Ritchie, pastor,
assisted by Rev. V. K. Fletcher, a former pastor, now of Eunice.
Interment was under direction Warren funeral home.

  Pallbearers were Mack Duggan, Amos McLanahan, John Wright,
Othel Miller, C. L. Canterbury, W. E. Worsham, Homer Jordan and
Dan Lucius.

  Surviving relatives include the widow, Mrs. Nancy
Pynes, Florien; son, Charles Pynes, El Dorado, Ark., daughters,
Mrs. Luke Lee and Mrs. Lelia Smith, Shreveport; brothers, O. A.
Pynes, Shreveport, Jim Pynes, Smackover, Ark., and H. D. Pynes,
Leesville, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
