Mrs. Essie Linda Pynes

  Mrs. Essie Linda Pynes, 87, died at Sabine Medical Center in
Many, on Wednesday, April 29, 1987, at 11:45 p.m.

  Services were held at Warren Meadows Chapel on Saturday, May 2,
at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiating. Burial was at
Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Survivors include two sons, Wade Pynes of Baker, and Dr. Gene
Pynes of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Maude Thedford, Allie
Sirmon, Lee Wagley, and Louise Wagley, all of Many; four
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Martha
Nettles Slay; sisters, Ella Murphy, Mable Vidler, Bert Salter,
and Carrie Westbrook; and brothers, Daniel Slay, and Alvin Slay.
