Pynes and Nancy A. Peace Pynes, was born September 11, 1897, in Sabine Parish, La., and died September 25, 1951, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Mr. Charles M. Pynes of 274 North Smith Avenue, El Dorado, Ark., Deputy Union County tax assessor, died of a heart ailment, shortly before noon today. Death came in a local hospital, where he was taken early yesterday morning, when stricken suddenly at his home, before breakfast. Although his condition was regarded as serious from the beginning, he was reported to have shown improvement early today. Pynes was well known to many residents of the county, having served as deputy tax collector, and head of the local office of the state revenue department, before becoming deputy assessor. He was prominent in Masonic circles. Among his survivors are his wife, Mamie McGough Pynes; his mother, Nancy Ann Peace Pynes; and his sisters, Ola Pynes Lee, and Lela Pynes Smith. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Hall Mortuary. Charles Martin Pynes will be interred in the Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas.
