Interment was in New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home of Many. Mrs. Shirley Ann Penegar was a native of Zwolle, later moving to Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Penegar was born June 11, 1943, in Many. She attended J. S. Clark High School in Zwolle. Mrs. Penegar died suddenly, June 30, 1995, at her residence in Beaumont, Texas. Survivors are her husband, Nathaniel Penegar of Los Angeles, Calif.; her father, Mr. Fred Blinks of Many; three sons, Mr. Nathan LaWayne Penegar of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. Michael Lynn Penegar and wife Annie of Beaumont, Texas, and Mr. James Earl Penegar of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Tilmon and husband Charles of Many, and Mrs. Denise Odell and husband Rickey of Beaumont, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Darolyn Flood and husband Leo of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Cynthia Garner, and Mr. Kelsey Blinks and wife Sharon, all of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. Jarvis Blinks and wife Diana, and Mrs. Avis Williams, all of Shreveport, Mrs. Phyllis Johnson and husband Rev. Roy Johnson, and Mr. Carlos Blinks and wife Cherlyn, all of Detroit, Mich.; ten nieces; eight nephews; two great nieces; and one great nephew; six sisters-in-law, Laverne Penegar of Zwolle, Willye Mae Penegar, Vearsia Penegar, Mary "T" Penegar, Marilyn Penegar, and Mary Penegar, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers-in-law, Arthaniel Penegar of Zwolle, Gregory "George" Penegar, Samuel Louis "Billy" Penegar, and Zachary "Junior" Penegar Jr., all of Los Angeles, Calif.; father-in-law, Zachary Penegar Sr.; and mother-in-law, Juel Lee Penegar, both of Emerson, Ark.; and stepmother, Mrs. Vera Lilly Blinks of Many; a special friend, Gussie Lee Bibles; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Helen Matthews.
