Mr. Alton Pentecost

  Mr. Alton Pentecost, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at Schumpert
Medical Center in Shreveport.

  Funeral services were held at ? p.m., Monday, Oct. 26, at Mt.
Carmel Baptist Church, with interment following at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery. The Rev. Larry DeLoach, and the Rev. Earl Marr
officiated.

  Survivors include four sisters, Lula Smith, and Mary Burkett and
husband Billy, both of Many, Mamie Pentecost of Florien, and Edna
Wallace and husband Martin of Converse; and a host of nieces, and
nephews, and friends. Mr. Pentecost was preceded in death by his
parents, John W. and Josephine Pentecost; and three brothers,
Harvey Pentecost, Vandy Pentecost, and Ellis Pentecost.

  Pallbearers were John Smith, Joe Wallace, Mike Burkett, Don
Burkett, Frank Wilson, Mark Smith, Matt Smith, and Terry Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Wilson, Carnadus Davis, Raydon
Thaxton, Brad Browning, and Jack Remedies.
