Mrs. J. W. Pentecost

  Funeral services for Mrs. J. W. Pentecost, age 76, who died June
27, were conducted at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, at 10 a.m., June
28, with Rev. Paul Carter, Rev. Earl Marr, and Rev. Versie Miller
officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are her sons, Vandy of Negreet, Ellis of Many, Alton
of Florien; daughters, Mrs. Herman Smith, and Miss Mamie
Pentecost, both of Florien, Mrs. Martin Wallace of Converse, Mrs.
Billy Burkett of Mansfield; brothers, Robert Stewart of
Shreveport, Andy Stewart of Many, Riley Stewart of Robeline,
Cleveland, and Clarence Stewart, both of Florien, Rev. Claude
Stewart of Dodson; sisters, Mrs. Mora Thaxton of Florien; 10
grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
