Pantalion Sr. Services for Mr. James M. Pantalion, Sr. 57, of Shreveport were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 29 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Eddie DeHondt, associate pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Masonic rites were observed. Burial was at Forest Park. Mr. Pantalion died Friday, August 26, 1988 in Willis-Knighton Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a native of Peason, La. and a resident of Shreveport, for 33 years. Mr. Pantalion was owner of James Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Co. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Queensborough Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and El Karubah Shrine and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors: wife, Frances Leiendecker Pantalion of Shreveport; father, Odus Pantalion of Florien; one son, James M. Pantalion, Jr.; three daughters, Susanne Broocks and husband, Barry, Becky Pantalion and Karen Pantalion, all of Shreveport; one half sister, Vernice Matlock also of Shreveport; three sisters, Sue Brown of Hornbeck, Verline Ellzey of Florien and Betty Landry of Deweyville, Texas; two brothers, Douglas Pantalion of Shreveport and Treddis Pantalion of Fisher, La.; two grandchildren, Chris and Mark Broocks; numerous nephews and nieces. Pallbearers: J. Q. Flaherty, Wayne Waddell, Leo Waddell, Barry Broocks, Walter Thompson and David Simmons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
