Amos Lee Ponder

  Amos Lee Ponder, 78, died at 3:45 p.m., Sunday, May 9, in the
Pleasant Hill Hospital.

  Survivors include his wife, Ida Davis Ponder of Natchitoches;
five sons, Lloyd Ponder of Natchitoches, Wayne Ponder of Shreveport,
Amos Lee Ponder Jr. of Springhill, Terry Lamar Ponder of Lafayette,
and Leonard Dale Ponder of Knoxville, Tenn; two brothers, Henry
Ponder of Pleasant Hill, and Larry E. Ponder of Shreveport, and one
sister, Mrs. Nettie Brown of Pleasant Hill.

  Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cecil Sally officiating. Burial was
in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewett
Funeral Home of Mansfield.
