Jimmy McDonald, and Rev. Leroy Chance officiating. Interment was at Middlecreek Cemetery. Ms. Poynter passed away Saturday, July 13, in Shreveport, at 11 a.m. Surviving relatives are one son, Phillip Poynter Sr. of Dallas, Tex.; one daughter, Joyce Willard of Mesquite, Tex.; three sisters, Reba Wyatt of Florien, Evelyn Green of Bossier City, and Alice Griffith of Roslyn, Pa.; one brother, Gordon O. Cook of Many; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Forrest Scott, Doug Marr, Tommy Cook, Jeff Green, and Phil Poynter Jr.
