Carmel cemetery. Mr. Perry had been in ill health for several years, passed away at his home in Vinton Thursday, Feb. 27, at 11 o'clock. Elders Read Putnam and Ray Christensen of Beaumont, Texas, officiated; funeral directed by the Dennis-Green funeral home. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ella Barksdale Perry of Vinton; three sons, A. M. Perry of Port Arthur, Texas, T. M. Perry of Baton Rouge and J. J. Perry; six daughters, Mrs. Lillie Henson and Mrs. C. T. Stewart of Florien route one, Mrs. T. E. Madison of Madisonville, Texas, Miss Alba Perry, Mrs. W. H. Davis and Mrs. Bertha Moffett of Port Arthur, Texas; also 16 grandchildren. Mr. Perry was a native of Mississippi, born in Gloster July 29, 1871, moving to Louisiana at an early age to East Baton Rouge parish, coming to Sabine parish some twenty-five years past.
