Parrie, 87, died in the Fraser Hospital North, Friday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 a.m., after a short illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m., in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, with Msgr. Matthew Scanlon officiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Parrie is survived by her step mother, Louisa Meshell of Many; four sons, Elmo Parrie, and Tony Parrie of Zwolle, Jessie Parrie of Gascity, Ind., and George Franklin Parrie of Amarillo, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Crawford of Cannon, Miss., Mrs. Marcy L. Williams, and Mrs. Vickie Martin of Zwolle; six brothers, Robert Meshell, Walter Meshell, and Wesley Martinez of Zwolle, Bush Meshell of DeQuincy, Floyd Meshell, and Hosea Meshell of Shreveport; two sisters, Ada Remedies of Zwolle, and Edna Meshell of Many; 25 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Parrie's body was taken to her home, to lie in state until service time on Monday.
