Elvie Parrie

  Funeral services for Mrs. Elvie Parrie, 79, were held at 10
a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1996, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in
Zwolle. Father David Richter officiated. Burial followed in the
St. Joseph's Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Parrie died Saturday, Feb. 10, at Integrated Health
Services #1 of Many. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Phillip Parrie Sr.; two daughters, Selina Remedies, and Dorothy
Meshell; and six grandchildren.

  Survivors include seven daughters, Mary Ann Blankenship of Many,
Florence Barker of Bossier City, Corine Trichel of Sibley, Elsie
Emery of Salinisa, Calif., Lucy McCoy of Converse, Beatrice
Parrie of Hemphill, Texas, and Martha Ethridge of Zwolle; four
sons, Phillip Parrie Jr., Herman Parrie, and Raymond Parrie, all
of Zwolle, and Donald Parrie of Keithville.

  She is also survived by one half sister, Hazel Malmay of Zwolle;
one half brother, Martin Garcie Jr. of Zwolle; 53 grandchildren;
60 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and a host
of nieces and nephews.
