Mrs. Kathrine Phares

  Mrs. Kathrine Phares, 89, of Many died Tuesday, May 5 at Sabine Medical
Center in Many.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7 at First United
Methodist Church of Many with interment following at Many Cemetery. The
Rev. Fred Fraser, the Rev. Hulen Warren and the Rev. George McVay officiated.

  Survivors include one daughter, Joan Foshee of Natchitoches; two sons,
Jack Phares of Acworth, Ga. and Gailor Phares of Many; one sister, Frances
Pace of Gilliano; one brother, Edgar Stephens of Houston, Texas; five
grandchildren, Rick Phares, Kent Phares, Glen Phares, David Coke and
Katherine Robbins; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Kathrine Robbins and
Cameron Robbins; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends, former
students from church and school. Mrs. Phares was preceded in death by her
husband, Glen Phares.

  Pallbearers were Bill Creed, Bob Cole, Kent Phares, Doug Patrick, I. D.
Bostian, Larry Gosey and Mike Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were Conrad
Cathey, Dr. Jack Corley and John Godfrey.
