Joe L. Price

  Joe Levi Price, 86, of Converse, died Saturday morning, Apr. 17,
following a long illness.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the First Baptist
Church in Converse, with the Rev. Jack Byrd officiating. Burial was in
the Sardis Cemetery, under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home
of Coushatta.

  Survivors include his widow, of Converse; four sons, Will Price of
Monrovia, Calif., Albert Price of Tallahassee, Fla., James C. Price of
Converse, and Johnny Price of Houston, Tex.; seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel
McCormick of Zwolle, Mrs. Fannie Graves of Natchitoches, Mrs. Willie Lee
Smith of Belmont, Mrs. Nell Tompkins of Colorado City, Tex., Mrs. Helen
Paddie, and Mrs. Shirley Manshack, both of Converse, Mrs. Opal Rovers of
Pasadena, Tex.; a brother, J. B. Price of Riverside, Calif.; 30
grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
