The Sabine Index - Mrs. J. E. Phares 
  
  30 Jul 1948 - Mrs. J. E. Phares, age 84, was laid to rest at Mt. 
Carmel cemetery Thursday of last week. Funeral services were 
conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. W. G. Bailey and interment was under 
direction of Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Pallbearers were: Wylie and Noah Wooley, Carnandus Davis, Monroe 
Skinner, Eulas and M. C. Eason. 
  
  Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mrs. Carmenia Addison, 
Florien; son, James Phares, Florien, and a great grandchild.
