Martha Janie Price

  Services for Martha Janie Price, 79, of Converse, were held at 2
p.m., at First Baptist Church of Converse, with the Rev. Sidney
Young officiating. Burial was Monday, May 12, in Sardis Cemetery
near Converse, under direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of
Coushatta.

  Mrs. Price died Saturday in a Mansfield hospital, after a
lengthy illness.

  Survivors include daughters, Nell Topkins, Helen Paddie, and
Shirley Manshack, all of Converse, and Opal Rivers of Houston,
Texas; stepdaughter, Ethel McComic of Oak Grove; sons, J. C.
Price of Converse, and Johnny Price of Taylor, Texas; brother,
John H. Craig of Pleasant Hill; sisters, Mabel Stockton of
Alexandria, Mrs. N. C. Bryant of Belmont, and Mageline Rains, and
Ethel Stewart, both of Pleasant Hill; and several grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
