The Rev. Jack Pharris, Associate Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Charles officiated. Burial and graveside services were at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Robeline Cemetery in Robeline. He died at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, in Lake Charles, following a sudden illness. Mr. Pharris, born in Robeline, and a resident of Lake Charles 32 years, was a retired Lab Technician from Conoco Oil. Survivors include two sons, William Larry Pharris, Bossier City, and Richard Pharris, Shreveport; six sisters, Mrs. Devella Powell, Robeline, Mrs. Rita Mae Callens, Many, La., Mrs. Lois Davion, and Mrs. Loree Fauistich, both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Jo Deterson, Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Eloise Mims, Dallas, Texas; one brother, Kermit W. Pharris, Shreveport, and one grandchild.
