Parks, 65, of Keithville, were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. W. D. "Step" Martin, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mr. Parks died at 6:45 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, 1981, at Schumpert Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Parks, born in Natchitoches Parish, a former resident of Shreveport, had lived in Keithville 12 years. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 406. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dee Parks of Keithville, La.; three sons, Albert Gene Parks of Crossett, Ark., Jerry Wayne Parks, and Donald Ray Parks of Keithville; two daughters, Ruthie Duesl of Houston, Tex., and Judy Maranto of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Nadine Ehl of Liberty, Tex., Mrs. Ann Mouton of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Lilly Forsythe of Mansfield; two brothers, M. T. Parks of Forduache, and Otto Parks of Marthaville; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild. Pallbearers were his nephews, Danny Reed, Mike Frazier, Gary Frazier, Greg Frazier, Kenny Parks, Errington Parks, Bob Ehl, and Johnny Gates. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Valentine, Raymond bush, Daryl Garner, Willie Hoffman, Grady Buchanan, Howard Haynes, Elsie Sandifer, and Lonnie Williams.
