Rev. Cecil C. Pierce

  Funeral services for Rev. Cecil C. Pierce of Many, were held at
Alford Heights Baptist Church, Friday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m., with
the Rev. Joe Dan Franklin, and Rev. Donnie Paul Lewing
officiating. Burial was in Florien Cemetery. Services were under
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Rev. Pierce died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1985, at 1:30 p.m., at his
residence. He was 77 years old.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewel Pierce of Many; one son,
Mr. Elton Pierce of Stonewall; one daughter, Mrs. Glynda Lewing
of Many; three sisters, Mrs. Sybil Watts, Mrs. Faye Zavadil, and
Mrs. Velma Rushworth, all of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; and
two great grandchildren.
