Johnny P. Pierce, Sr.

  Funeral services for Johnny Presander Pierce, 90, of Many, were
held Monday, Nov. 27, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

  Burial was in New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of
Thomas Mortuary.

  Mr. Pierce died Tuesday, Nov. 21, at IHS #1 in Many.

  Having left this life, "Pres" leaves with the "Joy and Promises
of God", seven children, Johnny P. Pierce Jr. of Many, Audrey W.
Wolfe of Gardena, Calif., George C. Pierce of Los Angeles,
Calif., Barbara and son-in-law Earl Barrow of Carson, Calif.,
Sharon Pinkney of Elk Grove, Calif., Jacqueline Pierce, and Debra
Pierce of Oakland, Calif. His son, Lionel; and daughter Joan Faye
preceded his death in 1965; a brother, K. L. Pierce; and sister,
Hazel Pierce of Pittsburg, Calif.; 33 grandchildren; 47 great
grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
