All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Dorothy Virginia Steagall Price Funeral services for Dorothy Virginia Steagall Price, 81, of Leesville, were held Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at 2 p.m., in the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Officiating was Dr. Roger Sullivan, and Dr. James Young. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home. Mrs. Price passed away Friday, Nov. 29, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. She was a native of Oakdale. She had also lived in Vernon Parish for many years. She had retired from Fort Polk in 1981, where she had worked as a shipping clerk. Mrs. Price was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 45 years, and was active in WMU, as well as being a former choir member. Mrs. Price is survived by one son, Clyde Price of Leesville; three daughters, Joyce Green of Montery, Linda Bignar of Jena, and Diane Presley of Fort Worth, Texas; eight sisters, Margaret Malone, June Tidwell, Billye Cohen, Mary Gilbert, and Corene Steagall of Leesville, Helen Davies of Phoenix City, Ala., Bobbie Hall of Columbia, and Betty Foster of Tioga; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
