Mrs. Becky Spier Pierce

  Mrs. Becky Spier Pierce of Buford, Ga., and formerly of Many,
died Friday, July 12, at Snellville Nursing Home, after an
extended illness.

  She was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Spier and Sarah Rosa
Newman Spier. She was born in Jonesville.

  Mrs. Pierce was a retired cosmologist, a member of Eastern Star,
and a member of First Baptist Church of New Orleans.

  She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Van Vachon of
Buford, Ga.; three grandchildren, Susan Rebecca Booker of Denver,
Colo., Trudy Elizabeth Vachon of Tampa, Fla., Paulette Vachon of
Buford, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Marsha Spier Pursley of Atlanta, Ga.;
three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

  Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 24,
at Many, with arrangements by Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, Ga.

  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Father
Flanagan Boys Town Home, Boystown, Neb.
