Mrs. James Phares

  Mrs. James Phares, 71, of Florien, died in the Sabine Clinic,
May 19, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, May
20, with the Rev. Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in Mt. Carmel
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.

  Surviving relatives include her husband, James Phares of
Florien; one son, Jerry Phares of Columbia, Tenn.; two brothers,
Eulas, and M. C. Eason, both of Florien; five sisters, Mrs.
Charlie Hildebrand, and Mrs. E. J. Manasco, both of Many, Mrs.
Ruben Manasco of Florien, Mrs. Walter Masters, and Mrs. K. L.
Nash, both of Shreveport; and one grandchild.

  Pallbearers were Darrell Manasco, Charles Masters, Ronnie
Turner, Oscar Hildebrand, Percy Hildebrand, and Neil Eason.
