Mrs. J. K. Phares

  Funeral services for Mrs. J. K. Phares, 82, of Many, were held
Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the First Baptist Church in Many, with the
Rev. Perry Lassiter, and the Rev. J. C. Skinner officiating.

  Mrs. Phares passed away in a local hospital, Monday, Oct. 14,
following an extended illness.

  Survivors include three sons, Glen Phares of Many, Ross Phares
of Houston, Tex., and Joe Donna Phares of Los Angeles, Calif.;
one brother, Oscar Gipson of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Louis
Webb of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and eleven great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Jack Lucius, Horace Tompkins, Reuel Boone, Ed
Willard, Charles Williams, and J. E. Wright.

  Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
