All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. James Thomas Procell, Sr. Mr. James Thomas Procell Sr., 71, of DeQueen, Ark., formerly of Zwolle, died. Mr. Procell was born March 26, 1926, and raised in Zwolle. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII, and the U.S. Civil Service in Germany, after the war. He spent much of his early adulthood in Germany, Shreveport, and later moved to DeQueen in 1969, where he owned and operated The DeQueen Recreation Club. He retired in 1991, and has maintained dual residence in Texarkana, and Jacksonville, Ark. since 1993. He was a life member of Billy T. Norton V. F. W. Post 4562 for years, a member of the DeQueen Lions Club, and the DeQueen Chamber of Commerce. He was a lifetime member of several trail riding organizations across the south, to include the Old Spanish Trail Ride Association, Sevier County Trail Riders Association, and Whoa-Hu Trailriders in Zwolle. Mr. Procell was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lena Procell; two brothers, Wilburt "Dick" Procell, and Marvin Procell; and one sister, Elouis Procell Webb. Mr. Procell is survived by his daughter and her husband, Phyllis J. Procell and Brian Daigle; one son, James T. Procell Jr.; two stepsons, Michael W. Willis, and Lloyd E. Willis; one stepdaughter, Busta L. Willis, and an adopted daughter, Ursula Procell Sevier; six grandsons, John Procell Sevier, Joshua Procell Daigle, Mikey Neil, and Kyle Willis; and two-week-old Nicholas James Procell; three granddaughters, Michelle Procell Sevier, Stephanie Procell Daigle, and Amanda Willis; two brothers, Charlie, and Virgil Procell; two sisters, Hazel Procell Rainer, and Laverne Procell Ezernack; a special friend, Patti Delaughter of Texarkana, and mothers of his children; and many nephews, and nieces. Funeral services will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church, DeQueen, Ark., on Wednesday, July 16, at 10 a.m., under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Rosary Vigil will be held at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle, on Wednesday, July 16, at 6:45 p.m. A Memorial Mass for Mr. Procell will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Zwolle, at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 17.
