George D. Parsons, Sr.

  Services for Mr. George D. Parsons, Sr., 81, of Coushatta, were
held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 16, at the Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta. The Rev. Bill Hines officiated.
Burial was at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta.

  Mr. Parsons died Thursday, March 14, 1985, at his residence,
after a lengthy illness. He was a retired Mobil Oil Co.
executive.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Parsons of Coushatta; two
sons, George D. Parsons, Jr. of Kenner, La., and Col. Thomas R.
Parsons, Retired, of Converse, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Valree
Bates, and Mrs. Virgie Caston of Hope, Ark.; four grandchildren;
and four great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Jack Glassock, Ben Glassock, Fred Edwards,
Thomas Edwards, John D'Antoni, and Glen Smith.

  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund.
