Pearson, 73, of Shreveport, on Monday. February 25, at 12:30 p.m. Officiating were the Rev. Phil Smith of Morningside Baptist Church, where Mr. Pearson was a member. Interment followed at Centuries Memorial Park. He entered into rest on Saturday, February 23, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a short illness. Mr. Pearson was a native of Ida, and had lived in the Shreveport-Bossier Area most of his adult life. Mr. Pearson was a retired Utility Contractor, having retired in 1978. He was preceded in death by one son, David N. Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Grace Pearson; one daughter, Barbara Welch and her husband, Maurice of Somerdale, New Jersey; three sons, Robert Lee Pearson Jr. and his wife Linda of Baton Rouge, James B. Pearson and his wife Choochi of Shreveport, Patrick W. Pearson and his wife Freida of Shreveport; five sisters, Hazel Jackson of Converse, Margaret Jackson and her husband Archie of Shreveport, Tessie Stanley and her husband S. R. of Shreveport, Janiece Jackson and her husband James of Vivian, Texas, Joyce Costello and her husband Al of Shreveport; two brothers, Boyce L. Pearson and his wife Louetta of Shreveport, I. Wayne Pearson and his wife Peggy of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
