The Sabine Index - John Parker

  4 Feb 1949 - Funeral services for John Parker were held 11
a.m. Wednesday at Fort Jesup Baptist church by Rev. H. O. Worthy,
pastor, and Rev. H. T. Isgitt of Converse. Interment followed in
Fort Jesup cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home.

  Mr. Parker had been confined to the veterans hospital in Little
Rock, Ark. for several years. He died Monday and his body arrived
in Many Tuesday.

  Near relatives surviving are: sisters, Mrs. Ed Zimp,
Beaumont, Texas and Mrs. Bell Cabra, Leesville; brother, W. A.
Parker, Haslem, Texas; a half-brother, J. H. Mims, Many, all of
whom attended the funeral.
