Parker Madline Gray Parker, 78, of Baton Rouge, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, in Baton Rouge General Hospital. The funeral was at 11 a.m., Saturday, in Flactor Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Burns, and the Rev. Gran Stinebaugh officiating. Burial was in Hemphill Star Cemetery in Gardner, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Leesville. Survivors include three sons, Elton A. Parker of Carmichael, Calif., Walter C. Parker of Baton Rouge, and Ronnie R. Parker of Tyler, Texas; five daughters, Cora Michelli, of Kenner, Geneva Knippers of Florien, Hazel Sanders of Freeport, Texas, Bonnie Lou Rheams of Angola, and Bobbie Easley of Baton Rouge; one sister, Nancy McFarland of Shreveport; 28 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Parker; and two daughters, Jessie Sanders of Freeport, Tex., and Agnes Parker of Slagle. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. They were James Rheams, Jacy Easley, Roger Knippers, Wayne Parker, Jerry Parker, Glenn Rheams, Robert Shaffer, and Eddie Brockoff.
