Mellene P. Parker

  Mellene P. Parker, 60, of Leesville, died Wednesday night, April
9, in a Many hospital, after a sudden illness.

  Services were at 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 11, in Oak Grove Bible
Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with the Rev. Wayne Reed, and the
Rev. Donnie Paul Lewing officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove
Cemetery.

  Survivors include three sons, Donald W. Parker, and Ronald P.
Parker, both of Houston, Floyd E. Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla.;
four daughters, Loretta Temple of Hornbeck, Juanita Dominque of
Houston, and Nelda S. Ridens, both of Houston, and Mary L. Crosby
of Many; her mother, Mrs. Katie S. Prewitt of Hornbeck; one
brother, Bill Prewitt of Hornbeck; one sister, Madge Erwin of
Hornbeck; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
