Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 in the chapel of Rush, in Pineville with the Rev. Richard Debusk officiated. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, in Pineville. Mr. Pruitt was a native of Florien, a member of Faith Baptist Church and a retired physician's assist with the Veteran Affairs Medical Center with 40 year's service. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of DAV Chapter 7. He was also a member of the National American Retired Federal Employees and member of AARP. Survivors include his widow, Alice Rambo Pruitt of Tioga; two sons, Ronald Lee Pruitt, Sr. of Tioga and Alan Dale Pruitt, Sr. of Brandon, Miss.; five brothers, Samuel L. Pruitt of Vicksburg, Miss.; Titus N. Pruitt of Florien, Luke L. Pruitt of Jasper, Texas and James E. Pruitt and Mark A. Pruitt, both of Anacoco; one sister, Lois L. Manasco of Many; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
