All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Nathaniel Elmo Parrott 9 May 1947 - Funeral services for Nathaniel Elmo Parrott, age 72 years, who died at his home near DeRidder Wednesday, April 30, were held Friday, May 2, from Hixon's chapel in DeRidder with the Rev. Brown of DeRidder, Rev. C. W. Williams, pastor, DeRidder Baptist church, and Rev. C. W. Fields, pastor, Leesville Baptist church officiating. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hattie LaCaze Parrott of DeRidder, two daughters, Mrs C. V. LeMay of DeRidder and Mrs. Vick Ferguson of Leesville; one brother, Ambrose Parrott of Noble; four sisters, Mrs. H. H. Thomas, Zwolle, Mrs. Dave Dykes, Noble, Ms. Othel Lovell, Homer, and Mrs. Inez Bailey, Shreveport; one grandson, Glynn McKenney and granddaughter, Freddie Catherine Seigler, both of DeRidder. Mr. Parrott was the sons of the late Thomas Parrott and Martha Tyler Parrott and a member of one of the first families to settle in Sabine parish. Interment was in DeRidder cemetery under direction Hixon funeral home of DeRidder.
