The Sabine Index - W. L. Prewitt

  8 Dec 1944 - Funeral rites for W. L. Prewitt, age 71 years,
were held Monday at 2 p.m. from Pisgah church at Toro. Rev. W. T.
Love officiated. Massingill funeral home in charge.

  Surviving are: wife; four daughters, Mrs. Irene Williams of
Minden, Mrs. Ruth McGraw of Fairdale, Texas, Mrs. Winnie Miles
and Mrs. Vestal Hale of Toro; four sons, Bernice, Irwin and Lee,
all of Toro, and Wilmer of the U.S. Navy Seabees; two sisters,
Mrs. Peraly Palmer of Anacoco and Mrs. Ollie Tibbitt of Robeline;
one brother, Rev. J. B. Prewitt of Anacoco and seven
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were: Rev. Houston Tibbits, K. D. Tibbits,
Bill Prewitt, Vessie Prewitt, Corrall Prewitt and Hollis Prewitt.
