Bonnie Prewitt

  Mrs. Bonnie Prewitt, 57, of Anacoco, died at her residence on
Saturday, July 8, at 5:16 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include her husband, the Rev. V. I. Prewitt of
Anacoco, two sons, James R. Prewitt of Leesville, and Wayne
Prewitt of West Monroe, three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Carson of
Sulphur, Mrs. Bonnie Barnes of Beaumont, Tex., and Mrs. Jinnie
Johnson of Shreveport; and nine grandchildren.

  The Rev. Prewitt pastored several churches in the area, and they
were well known in the area.

  Funeral services were held in the Anacoco Baptist Church on
Sunday, July 9, at 4 p.m. Dr. Arnold Nelson, Dr. Arthur Rockett,
and Rev. A. L. New officiated. Burial was in the Hope Cemetery,
under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, Rev. W. D. Carson, Rev.
Roy Dowden, Rev. Percey Tibbitts, Rev. James Carson, and Rev.
Phillip Tisdale.
