Parrott, 72, of Zwolle, were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, at the Zwolle United Methodist Church. The Rev. Claude Barron officiated, with the assistance of the Rev. Raymond DeLaughter, and the Rev. Don McDowell. Burial was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Masonic rites were held at the graveside. He died at 12:31 a.m., July 4, 1983, at the Doctor's Hospital, Shreveport, after a brief illness. Mr. Parrott was a lifelong resident of Zwolle, the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Parrott. For 43 years he was an employee of L. Lefkovits General Mercantile. He was an active member of the Zwolle United Methodist Church, and Past Master of the Zwolle Masonic Lodge. Mr. Parrott is survived by his wife, Reba Hardin Parrott of Zwolle; one daughter, Ann Patterson of Shreveport; and two granddaughters, Laurie, and Libby Patterson of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Leonard Brooks, John Patton, Elwin Paterson, Loy Pentecost, Sr., K. C. Peterson, Cecil Tooke, Wesley Webb, and Carl Willis. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Hopkins, Herman Champion, Bruce Gray, Jack Jordan, and David Peterson.
