Pruitt died Thursday, June 14, at Parkway Regional Medical Center. She was 74. Mrs. Pruitt was a native of Zwolle, and had been a resident of Vicksburg, Miss., since 1997. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Nettie Pearl Tyler Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Samuel L. Pruitt of Vicksburg, Miss.; one son, Danny Pruitt of Anacoco; three daughters, Sheila Baker of Leavenworth, Kan., Sherry Klein of Edwards, Miss., and Sonya Stephens of Sulphur; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Dessie M. Litton of Leesville. Visitation was from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Friday, June 15, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Miss. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 18, at the Bayou Scie Methodist Church in Zwolle, with Dr. Don Chellete, the Rev. Don Monk, and the Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Bayou Scie Methodist Church Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
