Betty H. Prewitt

  Funeral services for Betty H. Prewitt, 62, of Hornbeck, were
held Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at 2 p.m., at Oak Grove Baptist
Church. Officiating was Rev. Edwin McCullough, and Rev. Wayne
Read. Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home in Leesville.

  Mrs. Prewitt died Saturday, Jan. 25, at Byrd Regional Hospital
in Leesville. She was a native of Mt. Carmel, and a member of the
Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck.

  She is survived by her husband, Billy Prewitt of Hornbeck; two
sons, Cecil R. Prewitt and wife Glenda, Benjamin Prewitt and wife
Diana, both of Hornbeck; one daughter, Debra S. Prewitt of
Hornbeck; one brother, James P. Hardcastle of Conroe, Texas;
three sisters, Mary Walker, and Pat Nolen, both of Leesville, and
Jo Ella Burger of Navarre, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two
great grandchildren.

  Memorial donations may be made to the La. Baptist Children's
Home.
