Jessie James "Sunflower" Pruitt

  Funeral services for Mr. Jessie James "Sunflower" Pruitt, were
held Thursday, at 3, in the Beulah Methodist Church near
Marthaville. Rev. Rick Martinez officiated. Burial followed in
the Beulah Cemetery.

  Mr. Pruitt, 62, died at 9:40 p.m., Monday, May 5, at the
Schumpert Medical Center (Grace Home).

  Mr. Pruitt was a resident of Robeline, and a native of Shamrock.
He was a retired skidder driver for Jenkins Logging Contractors,
and was a member of Anthony Baptist Church, Robeline.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille B. Pruitt of Robeline;
one daughter, Roxie Berry of Lumberton, Tex.; four sisters,
Dorothy Sims, Betty Lou Jordan, Hazel Blue, and Rita Broadway,
all of Robeline; one brother, Joe Pruitt of Robeline; and two
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Johnny Jenkins, Joseph Cheson, Stewart Wright,
Curtis Jordan, Perry Broadway, Bill Glen Sims, Bert Cotton, and
Frank Haltom.
