Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Vivian Parrott of Shreveport; a brother, Randal Parrott of Zwolle; and two sisters, Mrs. Irma P. Pentecost, and Mrs. Ive L. Brown, both of Shreveport. Parrott had been a resident of Shreveport for more than 30 years. He owned and operated the M. L. Parrott Claim Service for many years. He was a member of the Zwolle Masonic Lodge No. 302. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 31, at 3:30 p.m., at the Zwolle United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Austin Smith officiating. Masonic Rites were conducted at the Zwolle Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Clyde Patterson, F. D. Martin, H. B. Ratcliffe, Bobby Spells, J. O. Kimbrell, and Carl Willis.
