The Sabine Index - August 9, 1973

  Willie Porter

  Willie D. Porter, 78, died Monday in an automobile accident.

  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. yesterday in the Mount
Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Marr and the Rev.
Phillip Tisdale officiating. Burial was in the Fisher Cemetery
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow; two half-brothers, Floyd Bissell of
Benson and Howard Bissell of Mansfield; three half-sisters, Mrs.
Myrtle Hughes and Mrs. Zola Evans, both of Benson and Mrs. Buna
Hatcher of Mansfield.

  Pallbearers were Buster Bissell, E. R. Anderson, Stanley
Brandon, J. B. Ricks, Billy Roy Skinner and Bill Russell Jr.
