All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Rosser Benton Prothro Services for Rosser Benton Prothro, 94, of Shreveport, were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 4, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Floyd Davis, pastor of Caddo Heights Baptist Church officiated at the services followed by burial in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. A retired machine operator for Allen Millworks, and a native of Marthaville, Mr. Prothro had lived in Shreveport since 1943, He was a member of the Caddo Heights Baptist Church, where he belonged to the Men's Bible Class. He died after a lengthy illness, at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, in Schumpert Medical Center. Survivors include his widow, Minnie R. Prothro; one son, Kenneth L. Prothro of Shreveport; one daughter, Noveline Evon Braunig of Shreveport; one sister, Mae Barnhill of Shreveport; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Johnny Prothro, Steve Roe, John Earl Roe, Norman Crager, Maxie McElwee, and Tracie Roe.
