The Sabine Index - Jefferson Davis Prothro

  7 Mar 1941 - Last rites for Jefferson Davis Prothro, age 79 were
held at Pleasant Hill last Saturday in the Baptist church with
Rev. Frank Roberts officiating and the Dennis Green Funeral home
directing.

  Active pallbearers were: Leroy Dykes, Thomas Hardee, Roy
Bridges, Sam Darnell, Dewey Gregory and Emett Powell.

  Surviving are the widow, three sons, E. T., Plaquemine, L. C.
Dubberly, L. E., Longview, Texas, two daughters, Mrs. V. A.
Gaddis, Hallsville, Texas, Mrs. Essie Hall, Pleasant Hill, and
two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Perley, Pleasant Hill and Mrs. Bertha
Prothro, Beaumont, Texas.
