Mrs. Lula Emily Parham

  Mrs. Lula Emily Parham of Westlake died in Lake Charles Friday,
Jan 9 at 10 a.m. after an extended illness.

  Mrs. Parham is survived by two sons, Roy Parham of Vinton, and
Carroll Parham of Westlake; four daughters, Mrs. Violet Veuleman of
Lake Charles, Mrs. Albert Wright of Sulpher, Mrs. Fred Gill of San
Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. W. B. Brumley from Many; a brother from
Beaumont, Tex., John Coleman; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren,
and 1 great-great-grandchild.

  Funeral services were held in Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Sunday,
Jan 11 at 2 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Ova Stallcup and the Rev.
C. C. Pierce. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.

  Pallbearers were Mrs. Parham's grandsons.
