Mrs. Lula Parham

  Mrs. Lula Parham, 85, of Lake Charles, died Jan. 9, after an
extended illness.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 11, at Mt. Zion
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ova Stallcup officiating, and
assisting was the Rev. C. C. Pierce. Burial was under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many, in Mt. Zion
Cemetery.

  Surviving relatives include two sons, Roy Parham of Vinton, and
Carroll Parham of Westlake; four daughters, Mrs. Violet Veuleman
of Lake Charles, Mrs. Albert Wright of Sulphur, Mrs. Fred Gill of
San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. W. B. Brumley of Many; a brother,
John Coleman of Beaumont, Tex.; 20 grandchildren; 26 great
grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
