S. D. Quarles

  S. D. Quarles, 86, of Zwolle, died Jan. 19, after a short
illness. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 21, at the Zwolle
First Baptist Church, with Dr. R. P. Butler officiating. Burial
was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include a son, S. J. Quarles of Mesdota, Calif.; four
daughters, Mrs. Herman Martinez, Mrs. Rupert Sepulvado, and Mrs.
Wiley Hawkins, all of Zwolle, and Mrs. George Haskins of
DeRidder; a brother, Jim Quarles of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs.
Emile Flanigin of Zwolle; 33 grandchildren; and 35 great
grandchildren.

  The grandsons served as pallbearers.
