  Funeral services for Vernon Marie Anthony Quarles were held
Saturday, June 15, 2002, at 11 a.m., at the Antioch Baptist
Church in Florien. The Rev. Wilton Anthony officiated. Burial
followed at Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Quarles died June 13, at Summitt Hospital. She was born
Feb. 6, 1917, in Florien, and was a member of Summer Grove
Baptist Church in Shreveport.

  Mrs. Quarles was preceded in death by her husband, W. C.
Warmack; two sons, Thomas S. Quarles, and Anthony Doyle Quarles;
and one grandson, Stewart Anthony Quarles.

  Survivors include one grandson, Michael Anthony Quarles of
Mexico; and granddaughter, Melissa Stephens of Shreveport; five
great grandchildren, Tiffeni Warmack Chesson, Kyle Pierce,
Kaytlin Stephens, Devin Stephens, and Michael Dylan Quarles; and
one great-great grandson; and a host of niece, nephews, and
friends.

  Pallbearers were family members.
