All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Willie Reeves Services for Mrs. Willie Alma Reeves, 74, of Oil City, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 11, in the McGuire Funeral Home chapel, in Vivian, with the Rev. Sid Filingim, pastor of Ferry Lake Baptist Church, and the Rev. James Sermons, pastor of First Baptist Church of Oil City, officiating. Burial was in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Vivian. A native of Marthaville, Mrs. Reeves died at 12:01 p.m., Wednesday, in Doctor's Hospital. She had lived in Oil city for 36 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Oil City. Survivors include three sons, R. A. Reeves Jr. of Oil City, C. R. Reeves of Vivian, and G. A. Reeves of Lakeside, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Lura Rosier of Maybanks, Tex., Mrs. Billie Derrick of Shreveport, Mrs. Betty Weaver of Campti, and Mrs. Jimmie Martin, and Mrs. Dorothy White, both of Oil City; one brother, the Rev. J. P. King of Belmont; three sisters, Mrs. Lester Berry of Robeline, Mrs. Ray Youngblood of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Jessie Heinen of Shafter, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hayward McCormick, Houston Terry, Jimmy Derrick, Gary Latham, Charles Weaver, and Joey King.
