Robinson were held at St. John's Catholic Church, in Many, on Sunday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. Msgr. T. J. Lennon officiated, with Msgr. John Vandegaer of Stonewall, assisting. Serving as pallbearers in honor of the memory of their grandmother were six grandsons, Michael Mathis, Mansfield; James Mathis, Lake Charles; Dr. David Lee, Houston, Tex.,; Dale Robinson, Baton Rouge; Robin Mathis, Lake Charles, and Francis Giering, Natchitoches. Honorary pallbearers were Judge J. S. Pickett, Sr., E. J. Giering, Jr. of Natchitoches; Paul Robinson, Many, and Martin Abington, Baton Rouge. Mrs. Robinson was born April 2, 1893, a life long resident of Sabine Parish, having spent her childhood years in Hatcher, La., and her remaining years in Many. She was the widow of the late William R. Robinson, Sr. of Many, a past member of St. John's Alter Society, and for many years, presided as president of the organization. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Natchitoches, member of the American Legion Auxillary. Mrs. Robinson was an active member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was the daughter of the late Charlotte H. Vandegaer, and the late George Hatcher, and the stepdaughter of the late W. H. Vandegaer. She was the mother of six surviving daughters, Mrs. E. J. Giering, Jr., Natchitoches; Mrs. Margery Mathis, Mansfield; Mrs. Donald Cavell, Franklin, Pa.; Mrs. Geraldine Bourgeois, Escondido, Calif.; Mrs. Barbara Merenda,. Houston, Tex., and Mrs. A. E. Hill, Redands, Calif., and one late son, William R. Robinson, Jr. of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by one brother, Leo Hatcher, McAllen, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Pickett, Sr., Many, and Miss Inez Hatcher, Many, one stepbrother, J. B. Vandegaer, Many, and one stepsister, Miss Sarah A., Vandegaer, Many; 16 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
