All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Francis "Scooter" Robinson Francis "Scooter" Robinson, 60, of Shreveport, died Friday afternoon, April 6, in Schumpert Medical Center, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home, in the Marshall Street Chapel, with the Rev. Donald Schister, Associate Pastor of St. John's Co-Cathedral, officiating. Burial was in the Hico Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Robinson of Shreveport; two sons, Stephen Robinson of Shreveport, and Andy Robinson of Lafayette; a daughter, Cloria Mosley of Shreveport; two brothers, Bennie Robinson, and R. J. Robinson, both of Many; one sister, Ruby Agnes Ross of Many; and five grandchildren. Mr. Robinson was a native of Many. He went to work for C. D. Hancock at the age of fifteen, and began selling furniture. In 1942, he moved to Beaumont, Tex., and worked in the shipyards, until he was drafted into the United States Navy. When he returned home from the Navy, he went to work for Sears and Roebuck Co., in the Furniture Department. In 1958, Mr. Robinson moved to Shreveport, and continued to work in the furniture business., He worked for J. P. Alwalt Wholesale Furniture Co. Mr. Robinson was the son of Coda Robinson, and Pearl Wagley Robinson. He was born on August 9, 1918. His hobbies were fishing, and taking his family on picnics.
